However, there are a lot of misconceptions circulating the beauty industry that hold a lot of people back from their perfect [sunless] tan.
1. SELF-TANNER MAKES YOU ORANGE
All of our self-tanning products are formulated to give you a bronzed, natural-looking glow. Our formulas are designed to gradually darken the appearance of the top layers of your skin, imitating your natural tan. Our original Nº32 self-tanning cream produces a lighter effect, while our Nº36 supernatural tanning mousse produces a deeper and more accelerated outcome. With the right product for your skin tone and correct application, you should only be left with a natural looking glow without any orange.
2. SELF-TANNER SMELLS BAD
Our self-tanners smell just as beautiful as they look on your counter. From our warm, earthy Santal to our fresh blood orange, each scent is elevated and luxurious.
3. SELF-TANNER LOOKS STREAKY
With the proper tools and technique, you are a destined for a flawless tan. We recommend a good shave and exfoliation to scrub away dead skin cells, even skin tone, and slough off any remaining self-tanner (plus who doesn’t love a good “everything shower?”). Applying a thin layer of cream to areas like hands, feet, elbows and knees will also help blend your color.
4. SELF-TANNER PROVIDES SUN PROTECTION
Self-tanners aren’t formulated to protect the skin from the sun. However, SPF can be applied on top of your self-tanner after it has set to protect your skin and keep it from harmful rays.
5. SELF-TANNER GETS ON YOUR SHEETS / TRANSFERS TO YOUR CLOTHING
We pride ourselves on the fact our products do not transfer. All you need to do is wait 5-10 minutes before getting dressed or going to bed so the product has time to dry down. This will ensure an even development and prevent transferring.
