Postcards From The Danish Countryside with Niki Brown
Niki Brown Isaksen (@nikibrownisaksen) is a mom, creative storyteller and master of finding beauty in the in between moments, whether it’s golden hour in the Danish countryside or a toddler snack break on the side of a gravel road. In this feature, Niki takes us inside her recent trip to Denmark with her husband and little one, reflecting on the magic and mayhem of traveling with a toddler, reconnecting with roots and creating slow, intentional memories along the way.

Tips for traveling with a toddler
Two generic answers and one on a deeper level-
1. Pack light & all carryons should be rolling or backpacks
2. Get their energy out in the airport
3. THE most important tip: Tap into your most patient, loving & understanding self. They are little beings with big feelings. Let go of expectations & ego. Good vibes only, or there's no shame in not bringing them! You know your kid best.
Bonus tip: don't bring toddlers to the city!
Countryside wardrobe essentials
Long skirts, a straw hat & a claw clip or headband bc you’re an air dry cottage girl!
